TOUCHDOWN CLUB

 To: All WRHS Supporters...Past, Present, and Future

For many years, Warner Robins High School has enjoyed a record of success in its athletic programs that is the envy of communities all over Georgia.  Our winning tradition in Academics, by being named a NATIONAL School of Excellence, has been and is now a great source of pride for the school and the community.

The WRHS Touchdown Club is the support club for all athletic programs at WRHS.  We have had a number of smaller clubs (Tip Off Club, Dugout Club, etc) in the past, but in 1968 the support parents decided to go with one club.....the TD Club. It was larger and had a much larger support base. Some of the things the TD Club does today as well as some of the major things it has done in the past include:

• Support and promote ALL athletic and academic activities at WRHS

• Provide special support as requested by the Athletic Director for the Middle Schools

• Built (with assistance from students at the Vocational School) and donated the 3200 sq foot Weight Room, which is used daily by more than 600 students (boys and girls) involved in Phys Ed and athletics. 

• Support and Promote ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. Sponsored the first academic letter award.

• Worked with the Northside High School Booster Club in getting the Field House built at McConnell Talbert Stadium.

• Sponsor training camps for various school sports.

• Sponsors sports banquets for school teams.

• Provides the BBQ Rib cookout held for the team after camp.

• Purchases trophies and awards of achievement for all sports.

• Sponsors the covered dish suppers held at selected TD Club meetings throughout the year.

• Holds weekly meetings which include the film analysis of the previous weeks game, as well as an overview, by Coach Way, of the upcoming game.

The above list is NOT at all inclusive, but we're sure you get the message. The Touchdown Club does a lot for WRHS and that is where you come in WE NEED YOUR HELP and SUPPORT.  We need you to join in our efforts to help maintain the standard of excellence we have come to enjoy. Specifically, we would like for you to:

• Join the WRHS TD Club. You don't have to have a child in a program to join. We have many members that do not have children in the program.

• Buy season tickets for Football, Basketball, Baseball, etc. It shows our commitment, rain or shine. It shows that we care.

• Volunteer your time for various club fund raising efforts. You will be amazed at what a difference one person can make and what a few people working together, as a team, can accomplish.

Our children are our greatest resources and are the future leaders of our community. A little extra time and effort are worth it. Please join us and GET INVOLVED !!!

The R Club is a club within the TD Club.  All TD Club members are eligible for membership in the R Club. It entitles you to special parking for Home Games, and a special banquet with a well known guest speaker in February or March 2006.
